Family Practice Specialists Information

Family Practice Specialists was founded in 1969 to provide an enhanced approach to delivering quality healthcare while helping patients maintain good health. Family Practice Specialists was established to be able to care for the whole family; infants, children, adult men and women, as well as seniors. We believes that doctors can gain a better understanding about each patient when they care for the entire family. Family Practice Specialists was established in the same year that family practice was officially recognized as a medical specialty. Prior to 1969 family physicians were known as "general practitioners" or GPs. That term didn't comprehensively reflect all that family practitioners do. Family practice doctors provide the first level of care for patients. Additionally family practitioners treat and manage chronic and long-term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and HIV.
