Families of the Missing Information

Families of the Missing’s primary purpose is to assist families of missing persons who face multifaceted social, economic, legal, and cultural challenges trying to maintain the family unit when any family member and significantly the primary economic provider becomes accounted for. To achieve the organization’s goals, the organization works directly with families, family associations, collaborates with other organizations, and United Nations bodies. The organization’s main activities include providing family support networks, introduce reforms and develop standards and procedures that address missing individuals from a family perspective, heighten public awareness, and assist families in resolving cases.
