In 1944, our founding members felt a calling to help the aging members of the Holland community and, “to serve them as they have served us.” Their vision was to provide more than just a service; they believed that a mission based on faith and compassion would ensure that our mothers and fathers would be properly honored and cared for. Today, we continue to uphold this sacred mission. Resthaven remains a non-profit, community owned, Christian organization focused on serving our senior neighbors through our continuum of care. We provide the entire spectrum of services and resources, including: independent living, assisted living, long-term nursing care, dementia care, rehabilitation, and home care. Beyond housing and medical treatment, our goal is to create an enriching, meaningful, high-quality experience for our seniors. And, as part of our mission, we continue to care for those who have depleted their financial resources—thanks, in part, to generous donations from the community. It is though our mission, vision, and values that we ensure that we give back to a generation that has given so much to us.

Lake View Cemetery, established in 1869 by Cleveland's pioneers, is one of the largest garden cemeteries in the U.S. Spanning 285 acres, it features beautiful landscapes and monuments, providing serene resting places for people of all backgrounds. The Lake View Cemetery Association serves all races and religions while working to preserve the historic site, recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. The Lake View Cemetery Foundation also maintains its beauty and supports community education programs.
