Founded in 1985 by Ed McNally, a retired lawyer and barley farmer who had a vision to create a craft brewery long before there was even such a term, we are now proud to have breweries in Vancouver, Calgary and Ontario – making us one of Canada’s largest, independent, true craft brewers. Dedicated to brewing quality craft beer, cider and ready to drink beverages and growing the communities we are a part of, our Brewmaster’s make beer with skill and imagination, utilizing local ingredients and innovative processes, all rooted in Ed’s original passion for excellence. We are always looking to bring passionate supporters of craft beer along with us on our journey. For nearly 25 years, beer aficionados have traveled to Steamworks famous brewpub to savor these unconventional and award winning brews. In 2012, Steamworks proudly launched their packaged products, adorned with distinctly whimsical branding and filled with delicious steam brewed craft beer. You can find these products around BC and abroad!

We are a small-batch brewery at the bottom of a mid-sized island on the left side of a very large country. At Phillips, we value creativity down the line, from production to sales. All of our employees play a hand in breeding a new brew, which is why we only hire passionate spokespeople for our crew.
