Founded in 1985 by Ed McNally, a retired lawyer and barley farmer who had a vision to create a craft brewery long before there was even such a term, we are now proud to have breweries in Vancouver, Calgary and Ontario – making us one of Canada’s largest, independent, true craft brewers. Dedicated to brewing quality craft beer, cider and ready to drink beverages and growing the communities we are a part of, our Brewmaster’s make beer with skill and imagination, utilizing local ingredients and innovative processes, all rooted in Ed’s original passion for excellence. We are always looking to bring passionate supporters of craft beer along with us on our journey. Collect Experiences, Not Things. Our vision was born out of passion for craft beer and hunger to drive the industry forward. Owned, operated and built by Derrick and Donna Smith, Dead Frog Brewery crafts bold and original brews. Originally founded as Backwoods Brewing, the first beer was brewed in a cramped but cozy warehouse across from the Twilight Drive-In. After operating for nearly a decade in Aldergrove, Derrick and Donna Smith rebranded as Dead Frog and opened their doors to a public thirsty for a unique collection of flavours. Thus began the release of Dead Frog's flagship brews including the Nut Brown Ale, now known as the Classic. In 2018, the Smith family and Dead Frog team moved into a new facility in the heart of Langley - complete with tasting room and a patio merely fifty feet away from our tank farm. With 20+ beers on tap, a retail store, growler station, and a small kitchen focused on locally sourced ingredients. Come on over for some delicious and fresh craft brews and eats.
