São 56 anos oferecendo uma sólida formação profissional e um processo de aprendizagem diferenciado para seus alunos, com diversos cursos ranqueados no Guia do Estudante da Editora Abril. Em 2017 foi eleita, pelo 7º ano consecutivo, a instituição de ensino entre as 100 melhores para se trabalhar no Brasil, de acordo com o Great Place To Work. O corpo docente é constituído por mestres e doutores de reconhecida competência acadêmica e de mercado. Atualmente são 18 unidades, localizados em pontos estratégicos nas cidades de Belo Horizonte, Betim, Contagem, Sete Lagoas, Bom Despacho, Nova Serrana, Divinópolis, Itabira, Uberlândia, no estado de Minas Gerais e Catalão e Jataí em Goiás – Brasil. Com a oferta de mais de 50 cursos de graduação, mais de 80 de pós-graduação (lato sensu) e 2 programas de Mestrado profissional (stricto sensu) em diversas áreas do conhecimento.

Criada em 1927, a Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais é a maior instituição federal de ensino superior no estado de Minas Gerais. A UFMG oferece 75 cursos de graduação, 81 de especialização, 68 programas de mestrado, 58 de doutorado e 40 de residência médica.

For more than a century, Federal University of Lavras represents a diversified network of people, interconnected with the objective of generating knowledge, innovation and the societal development. Since its foundation, as the Agricultural School of Lavras in 1908, and, later, as the Agriculture College of Lavras, UFLA has conquered a prominent position in the national scenario and has been expanding its network of contacts in the global science and innovation context. UFLA is proud to have been a pioneer in the development of new cultivars and agricultural machinery, in the improvement of rural constructions and in the innovation of extension services, with the release of technical and scientific journals that have made history. With a qualified faculty and the coordination of major research projects, UFLA has been fostering the development of Brazilian agribusiness. However, over the years, it has become an eclectic university. By means of generating and disseminating information and technologies, this University excels in other areas and is consolidated as one of the institutions that most contributes to the expansion of educational frontiers in different knowledge areas.
