Nashville-based Factory23 (www.factory23.com) is a virtual assembly line of outsourcing IT products designed specifically for small to medium-sized businesses. The company's product line includes colocation, dedicated systems, as well as backup and storage created to allow the small or medium enterprise the ability to outsource its technology needs. Factory23 is a privately held company started by BlueStar Communications co-founders Scott Kozicki and Fredjoseph Goldner in early 2000. The company was first conceived several years ago and was the catalyst behind the successful BlueStar Communications model. The original plan for BlueStar was Factory23, but the broadband connectivity needed to be deployed first before truly realizing this goal. In the summer of 2000, founders Kozicki and Goldner realized the time was right to officially launch Factory23 with one basic mission: to provide sophisticated IT support at a fraction of the cost of developing and building inhouse systems. Starting from its company headquarters in Nashville, Factory23 plans to expand to several tier-two cities throughout the MidSouth within the next 12 months
