The Factonomy Framework is a server side run time engine that enables enterprise organisations and their systems integration partners to adopt a strategic approach to tactical applications. Tactical or "under-the-desk" applications exist in every business. Typically developed using technologies such as Excel they represent an uncontrolled risk and a hidden cost. Regular business users can spend up to 25% of their otherwise productive time simply loading and reconciling data to these systems. Migrating tactical applications to a centrally controlled framework it is possible to achieve governance whilst also improving the efficiency of the user community. Applications are configured using only standards compliant declarative XML. Application development teams will therefore typically consist of business analyst and low cost xml developers. Only a few high powered C# developers are required per organisation in order to provide extensions to the framework that support enterprise integrations and complex business logic. Factonomy license the framework technologies to end customers and provide the training and support required by the systems integrators who will typically provide the necessary implementation services.
