FabNS Information

FabNS manufactures scientific grade instrumentation for research and industrial applications allowing the analysis of samples in the nanoscale, as well as providing modern software for complex data analysis. The company is a spin-off from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG. Brazil) and has as its flagship product the Porto TERS system. The Porto system is a nanoscope based on the tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, being capable of optically characterizing nanostructures, providing rich chemical and topological information with high resolution. Our Porto system has already drawn international interest with its groundbreaking measurements being published in a Nature cover article (Nature volume 590, pages 405–409 (2021), https://rdcu.be/cxPBT). FabNS also provides software and consultancy solutions focused in the analysis of optical spectra in a large scale. Our main offering is the PortoFlow data analysis software, which brings the dataflow paradigm to the optical characterization field, enabling users to perform complex analysis without writing code.
