Extremochem Information

ExtremoChem is a Portuguese company devoted to the development and commercialization of novel small synthetic molecules for the stabilization of biologicals. ExtremoChem is based on a multidisciplinar team of researchers from the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ITQB) and Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa. The technology is inspired in nature’s ability to sustain life under extreme conditions. New molecules have been synthesised and developed for use as new excipients for the stabilization of proteins. These molecules are analogues of the molecules found in nature, with improved stabilization properties. One of our main strengths is the ability to efficiently develop and test analogues for customized applications. Our main drive now is to deeply impact markets and societies by applying these new products to the most challenging needs of protein stabilization.
