Sofia, Bulgaria - 1998 Sitting in a small make-shift office room, 3 young Bulgarians debated and discussed the future of internet. Why can’t everyone have internet access. Why should it be expensive? Can the speed be faster? These internet pioneers were instrumental in uplifting Bulgaria from an underdeveloped bottom-run broadband market to one of the most developed broadband countries in the world during the late 1990s and early 2000s What started as an exploration soon turned into a full-fledged business. In 2009 they came to South Asia (India) with expertise to build cost effective yet attractive broadband services in an environment far lagging behind compared to rest of the world. Overtime, Extreme helped build the local internet ecosystem and ‘brought India up to speed’. With innovative solutions to optimise speed, reach and investments
