Explore Charter School was founded on the belief that all children will achieve when they are in an academic environment characterized by: • a safe and distinct school culture • a learning environment that balances skills-instruction with critical thinking • ongoing assessment of each student and using that information to target and tailor instruction • parent involvement Explore's mission is for our students to demonstrate the academic skills and critical thinking abilities they need to succeed in a college preparatory high school. We opened our doors in August of 2002 with Kindergarten, first, second, and third graders. Currently, we serve students in Kindergarten to 8th grade. Explore is now part of a growing network of public charter schools educating over 600 children in Central Brooklyn!
