HISTORY Italian fashion brand EXKITE came to life during a windy summer on the island of Sardinia, Italy. Ex-Pro kiter, Renzo Mancini, was working as a tester & developer for the pioneering kite maker Wipika, when he became inspired to give a new life to his retired kites - to make them “fly again”. Mancini took his stock of pre-loved, pre-flown kites and shared the idea with Norwegian stylist and creative soul, Eirinn Skrede, and the EXKITE story was born. PHILOSOPHY eXkite is born from a simple idea to upcyle the materials from kites and to give them a new life and a new meaning. All kites tell their own story; some have travelled the world, some have won important competitions, some have lived their lives in snowy conditions, others have tasted the salts of many oceans and some washed in huge waves. All our kites have their own story and we want to bring this feeling onto you with these unique garments. Not only do they look good and protect you from the winds they once danced to, but upcycling our kites to create eco friendly fashion serves our mission to also help the enviroment
