Exeter Tutorial College was founded in 1984 and now offers any combination of AS and A level subjects over one or two years, GCSEs and English for overseas students. A level retake courses for examination in January or June are offered. Students may take any subjects in one year, including Law, Art, Business Studies, Psychology, Politics, Environmental Science, English, History, Computing and foreign language. These courses are very popular with a very high pass rate. Please call for other subjects. The college has an unbroken record of near 100% entry to medicine and law since 1984, for all students who have a conditional offer of a place. Exeter Tutorial College is a spacious, medium sized college well situated in the city, specialising in university entrance. Tuition is given in small groups of about five students on average, or individually. Tutors are all well qualified, experienced specialists, and skilled in communicating with students. There is a library, study room, student common room, computer room, twelve tutorial rooms and three excellent laboratories. High academic standards are set within a friendly and effective teaching atmosphere. The College provides advice and support to all students applying to university through UCAS. Guidance is given, when required, in making initial choices and continues through until their university place is secured. High priority is given to assessments, exam practice and to progress reports. The College is a centre for all examination boards and registered with DfEE.
