In Philadelphia, 1 in 4 families lives in poverty. That’s not just a statistic—it’s a reality we’re working to change. At United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, we focus on the big picture and the everyday challenges that keep people from getting ahead. We team up with businesses, local organizations, and government partners to tackle the root causes of poverty—and to make sure families have the tools and support they need to build lasting stability. We serve communities across Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania, and Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, and Cumberland counties in New Jersey. Faith in Action, formerly known as PICO National Network, is a national network of faith-based community organizations working to create innovative solutions to problems facing urban, suburban and rural communities. Since 1972, Faith in Action has successfully worked to increase access to health care, improve public schools, make neighborhoods safer, build affordable housing, redevelop communities and revitalize democracy. Today, Faith in Action has 44 affiliated federations and 8 statewide networks working in 150 cities and towns and 17 states. More than one million families and one thousand congregations from 40 different denominations and faiths participate in Faith in Action. Together we are lifting up a new vision for America that unites people across region, race, class, and religion.

Social Impact Partners is a statewide intermediary organization that brings together the people, institutions, and investments needed to solve Connecticut’s most complex challenges. We work across education, workforce, employer, and early childhood systems - convening government leaders, employers, educators, nonprofits, providers, and communities around shared priorities and coordinated action. But we do more than bring people to the table. We study and learn, advise and implement, using data, research, and direct engagement to identify where systems are breaking down and what it will take to move them forward. SIP connects local realities with statewide strategy, translates across sectors, and helps partners turn ideas, public investment, and shared commitment into practical results. We are a connector, translator, doer, and catalyst - helping strong organizations work as a stronger system and making progress possible at the scale Connecticut’s challenges require.
