DKO was founded in 2000. Its founding partners Koos de Keijzer and Zvonko Orsanic were keen to independently implement their own vision: the creation of ingenious spaces that are appreciated by the eyes, mind and soul alike. Within a decade the practice - with Koos de Keijzer as Principal - has grown from its humble beginnings to a design powerhouse in the Asia-Pacific region. DKO is a multidisciplinary team of 300 professionals working across six offices in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. At DKO we approach all projects with our heads firmly on our shoulders. We utilise logic to interpret our canvas into unique and effective designs. We aim to be as culturally aware and people savvy as possible to understand and appreciate the different ways they tick. We open our minds to the creative possibilities and rely on a solid and united team to implement them. DKO plans to evolve into a globally oriented entity that uses the growth of its individual team members to progress further as a business and creative institution. DKO has already cemented itself as being at the forefront of residential design. Still in the pipeline are countless more diverse projects from bespoke residences to luxury hotels, unique hospitality and workplace interiors, urban design and large-scale master planning, testament to the versatility of DKO’s design team. With the planet’s economic, cultural and environmental futures already highly capricious, architecture is one method we can use to control and to adapt to changing times. At DKO we have proven we understand when to flex with the wind and when to stand tall against it. Finally, we never lose sight of the most fundamental quality that connects all great design – people. Mim Design is a diverse, creative practice that specialises in the design of interior environments. “The key to our creative process is to provide something new and inspiring that captures and surprises the senses. It is our philosophy to produce unique individual holistic design results that are reflective of the client and/or the brand.” With considerable experience delivering projects within residential, retail, hospitality and corporate Mim Design has become a company that equates itself to the customisation of interior design to suit each individual project. Mim Design believes all facets of design are essential in delivering a successful project; our studio has collaborated with like-minded Designers, Architects and Graphic Designers achieving outstanding results. Mim Design’s holistic approach aims to create design spaces that are not only of sophisticated form, but are refined in detail and concerned with bringing the qualities of the client personality and individual brand into the design and project. Mim Design approaches each project individually and constantly seeks new and innovative ways to approach and solve design needs.
