EUROLAB Information

EUROLAB is a European association representing laboratories and other conformity assessment bodies. Thanks to the expertise and experience of the national members, EUROLAB unites a vast network of laboratories, inspection, certification and notified bodies. EUROLAB positions the European laboratories and other conformity assessment bodies on political and technical levels, providing opportunities for engagement and knowledge sharing, contributing to important regulatory developments while sharing technical expertise. Among the key priorities, EUROLAB focuses on supporting the sector in their digital and sustainable strategies, through projects dedicated to capacity building, guidelines development and sharing of best practices, as well Composed of 26 national associations from the EU and EFTA, EUROLAB groups over 5,000 conformity assessment bodies, representing over 400,000 professional experts and laboratory practitioners. Associated membership is open world-wide and includes representatives from the Middle East, South Africa and America. EUROLAB Key Objectives: 1.Representing the European conformity assessment sector regarding political and technical issues having a direct impact on the European Quality Infrastructure, while contributing to the safety of consumers, businesses competitiveness, to the sustainability of the internal market and harmonization of accreditation. 2. Networking and knowledge sharing with key stakeholders having activities of direct impact on the Quality Infrastructure and in the conformity assessment field, thus striving to avoid duplication of efforts and activities, while enforcing the voice of the conformity assessment sector. 3. Act and contribute whenever needed on key regulatory developments by providing adequate means for sharing of information, experience and technical expertise through the publication of Position Papers, Technical Reports, CookBooks, Seminars, and Technical Working Groups.
