EUROCAE Information

EUROCAE is a non profit organisation formed at Lucerne, Switzerland, in 1963, as a European forum focusing on electronic equipment for air transport. It deals exclusively with aviation standardisation, for both airborne and ground systems and equipments. The organisation is composed of members, which are specialised in one or several technical fields of aeronautics, and many of them are considered to be among the world's leaders in their domain. Members include equipment and airframe manufacturers, regulators, European and International civil aviation authorities, air navigation service provider (ANSP), and airports. To develop EUROCAE Documents (ED), the organisation coordinates multiple Working Groups (WG), which gather experts working on a voluntary basis. WG members usually come from the organisation's members, though outsiders may be accepted as well under specific conditions. EUROCAE is governed by a Constitution and operates according to procedures resulting from over 50 years of experience in the development of aviation standards.
