EURASHE Competitors

EUA is a community of over 900 members and affiliates. It represents universities and national rectors’ conferences in 48 European countries, as well as affiliated organisations and networks based both in and beyond Europe. EUA supports and takes forward the interests of individual institutions and the higher education sector as a whole. EUA plays a crucial role in the European Higher education Area (Bologna Process) and in influencing EU policies on higher education, research and innovation. Thanks to its interaction with a range of other European and international organisations EUA ensures that the independent voice of European universities is heard, wherever decisions are being taken that will impact on their activities. Follow us to be kept updated of the latest news and trends in European higher education and research, events, publications and policy positions. Besides following the European University association's page, you can also join various groups group for discussing specific topics with your peers and experts. Three groups are currently opened: the EUA Council on Doctoral Education, Quality Assurance in European Higher Education and Learning & Teaching in Europe. The EAIE is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of education. We are a non-profit, member-led organisation serving individuals actively involved in the internationalisation of their institutions through a combination of training, conferences, research and knowledge acquisition and sharing. Our mission is to advance international higher education, create positive change and promote dynamic collaboration in Europe and beyond. The Annual EAIE Conference, the largest of its kind in Europe, attracts over 7000 participants.

The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) is an umbrella organisation which represents its members at the European level and internationally, especially in political decision making processes and in co-operations with stakeholder organisations. The Association aims to maintain and enhance the quality of European higher education at a high level, and to act as a major driving force for the development of quality assurance across all the Bologna signatory countries. ENQA contributes to this goal especially by promoting European co-operation in the field of quality assurance in higher education and disseminating information and expertise among its members and towards stakeholders in order to develop and share good practice and to foster the European dimension of quality assurance.
