ETIS Lab Information

ETIS conducts theoretical and experimental research in information, signal and image processing, and in bio-inspired cognitive robotics. Artificial intelligence is present across the unit’s various research areas. The research carried out aims to design complex intelligent interactive systems with autonomous learning and adaptative capabilities. The unit is structured around four research teams and one group. The CELL team designs reconfigurable and communicating embedded systems. The ICI team conducts research in information theory, signal processing for digital communications, and image processing. The Data&AI team carries out research in data science and artificial intelligence. The NeuroCyber team conducts research in cognitive science and bio-inspired robotics. The Design-STS group focuses on the challenges of contemporary design and practices in the field of science and technology studies in society.
