Deep-tech for trustworthy electronics and AI infrastructure. Ethicronics is a Cambridge deep-tech company developing technologies to establish trust in critical electronic systems: from PCB and silicon assurance to transport tamper evidence and next-generation AI infrastructure. Our work sits below the traditional cybersecurity stack, where software, electronics and physical security meet. Hardware Assurance We are developing scalable approaches to PCB and silicon assurance, helping organisations establish evidence that critical electronics are authentic, understood and uncompromised. Our work includes the development of Hardware Assurance Certificates, designed to make electronics assurance more repeatable and deployable across complex supply chains. Transport Tamper Evidence For sensitive government, defence and high-security applications, we are developing hardware and software technologies that provide evidence of physical interference with critical equipment during transport. The objective is simple: not only knowing that an asset arrived, but having evidence that it arrived as expected. Trusted AI Infrastructure As AI systems become increasingly dependent on specialised compute, memory and semiconductor infrastructure, security must extend beneath models and applications. Ethicronics is leading a £2.5M UK–South Korea R&D programme alongside the University of Oxford and Panmnesia, developing technologies for more secure and trustworthy AI infrastructure Founded in Cambridge in 2022, Ethicronics has: • been selected as a NATO DIANA 2026 Innovator • completed a DASA programme with Thales UK • secured $1.5M+ in non-dilutive funding • established collaborations across defence, government, academia and industry We work with defence, government, critical infrastructure, semiconductor and technology organisations where confidence in underlying hardware matters.
