Ethernet Servers is a budget hosting provider. That doesn't, however mean that we try to manage operations as cheaply as possible. Our servers, for example are by no means using cheap hardware. We do not use massively powerful processors, hundreds of gigabytes of memory/RAM. Instead, we deploy machines with specifications that we feel are appropriate in providing solid hosting solutions. Understanding hardware limits is crucial, if we feel that a server may start to have performance degradation, we stop placing accounts on it and usually upgrade the hardware. Our software is similar to, if not the same as the big players in the hosting industry such as SolusVM for VPS Container Management and cPanel/WHM for website/server management. We have created a number of custom in-house tools and systems to help create a smooth and stable platform. This tools help us to detect problems more quickly and monitor all of our servers very closely. For example, all of our IP blocks / IP addresses are automatically checked against blacklist databases every few minutes. This means that if there's any malicious behaviour taking place, such as spamming / unsolicited mailing, we'll know about this very quickly and can take action before a large problem is created. Other monitoring that we utilize includes Ping Monitoring. Each host node / physical machine that we operate is checked for network connectivity every few seconds, and in the event of an outage, our staff receive notifications via SMS and Email so we can react immediately and resolve any problems as quickly as possible. Drive / RAID Array health is monitored, in addition to many other services and systems. In the event of a problem, you can be sure that we'll already be working on a fix.
