The Experimental Techniques Centre at Brunel University has been established for over thirty years in purpose built laboratories designed to accommodate high resolution electron microscopes and analytical equipment. ETCbrunel is a highly regarded consultancy and research Centre for engineering, forensic and environmental investigations, including expert witness statements for legal purposes. UKAS accreditation has been obtained for many of the services offered. Our services include asbestos fibre analysis, surface examination and heavy metal analysis. Investigation techniques include Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy, a full list can be found under " Characterization Facilities ". We also run advanced training courses in analytical techniques, which are endorsed by the Institute of Physics for CPD.
