École Polytechnique, also known as L’X, is the leading French institution combining top-level research, academics, and innovation at the cutting-edge of science and technology. The National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) of Lyon is an international, multidisciplinary Engineering School at the heart of the European Higher Education scene. From its foundation in 1957, INSA Lyon included both international and human & social aspects in the curriculum of its engineers. In fact, equal importance is given to its international relations and openness as to the quality of its education and research.

L'UTC, établissement public à caractère scientifique, culturel et professionnel, a été créée en 1972 pour être une université expérimentale de technologie. Combinant dans ses statuts les atouts d'une université avec ceux d'une école d'ingénieurs, l'UTC, véritable écosystème local d’innovation, interagit aujourd'hui avec la société et le monde économique en anticipant les besoins en recherche des entreprises et en facilitant l'insertion professionnelle de ses 4500 étudiants.
