Essential Sessions Information

Essential Sessions is home to a world class audio recording studio and have hosted artists and producers ranging from Lady Gaga's band, Producer Michael Baker (Whitney Houston) and gospel great Sheila Ray Charles (daughter of Ray Charles), as well as a host of local bands including Cory Wong, Lady Lark, Cloud Cult, Fury Things, The Issue, Missing Letters, Anthony Cox, Black Satori, & Haunted Blue. Our staff works to not only record audio but develop a game plan with musicians. We help encourage musicians to set goals and use recordings as a method to achieve those goals. We commonly provide full production assistance with Kickstarter campaigns to help fund projects including a day to day strategy to raise funds through crowdsourcing. We also support artists with affordable ways to provide their audience with a constant drip of new and exciting content which may include live on-location recordings and in-studio video/concerts. Joe Alaspa - Grew up on the Iron Range of Minnesota. Front man of Cities Never Sleep. Recent credits include Capital Sons and alamode. When not in the studio he is the man behind the camera for music videos. Dylan Nau - Graduate of Augsburg College with a degree in music. Guitarist for Apollo Cobra. Recent credits include: David LeDuc, The Heavy Set and Nicholas David Brad Matala - Graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College. Recent credits Include The limns, Fury Things, Aldine, Tim Cheesebrow, Kyle Fosburgh, Minnesota Music Coalition. Currently working on dub remixes and tape loops.
