Essential Balanced Bodywork Information

Essential Balanced Bodywork (EBB) is a massage and wellness practice in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where massage is treated as an art form. Founded by Emily and Michael Roels, EBB was created around a simple belief: exceptional massage should never feel rushed, routine, or one-size-fits-all. Our approach is slow, intentional, and deeply relaxing. Each session is designed around the individual, combining skilled therapeutic touch with an environment that allows the body and nervous system to settle. EBB offers professional massage therapy, reflexology, Reiki, tuning fork therapy, sound healing, private sound baths, and other restorative wellness experiences. Our massage therapists are chosen not simply for technique, but for their ability to provide thoughtful, attentive care and an exceptional client experience. We value consistency, professionalism, presence, and the art of truly listening to the person on the table. Essential Balanced Bodywork is located inside the RoelsMethod™ Pain Relief Center in Historic Brookstown Mill in Winston-Salem. While the two brands share a home, they serve different purposes: EBB focuses on massage, relaxation, and wellness, while RoelsMethod™ offers a separate, nervous system–focused approach to pain relief. Whether you are looking for time to slow down, regular massage as part of your wellness routine, or a restorative experience away from the demands of everyday life, EBB is a place to reconnect, recharge, and simply be.
