We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to teaching English as a second language to newcomers in Northern Virginia. Our History ESL & Immigrant Ministries began in 1989 in the basement of Arlington's Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in with 3 teachers and 25 students. Today, ESL & Immigrant Ministries has grown to include 17 locations in Northern Virginia with enrollments totalling 2800 students and 300 volunteers. Classes are offered twice a year for 10 to 12 weeks, every day of the week, both daytime and evening.
