Textile Creations, Inc. was founded in 1999 as a textile import and wholesale company. The company began primarily as a supplier of quilting fabrics, and in 2008, it added a new division introducing fake furs, polar fleece, and promotional items to it's product offering.

While most competitors have rooms full of technicians overwhelmed with being tasked to fix their mistakes, Surface Art Engineering is the only ECM to have a single rework person for internal defect repairs. Rework can actually impact quality and on time delivery, particularly ones that are avoidable. Surface Art was and is a highly successful pioneer in a manufacturing sector dominated by male ownership. Company success has always been based on extreme diligence and caring for the all the steps in the manufacturing process. The workforce is made up of 80% females as well as large Asian presence.
