The American University of Nigeria is the first American university in Sub-Saharan Africa. The University is located in the city of Yola, capital of Adamawa, one of Nigeria's 36 states. Established in 1999, Babcock University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Ilishan-Remo (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Ogun. The admission rate range is 10-20% making this Nigerian higher education organization a most selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
