ESCA Information

Edinburgh Students’ Charities Appeal (ESCA) is here to help support the hundreds of students who are involved in charitable activities throughout the city. With over 150 years of charity and event experience we have impacted over 450 charities in the last 4 years alone. Our work has raised over £1.6 million for charity since 2003. ESCA is known for Edinburgh RAG and Meadows Marathon. Edinburgh RAG specialises in all aspects of student fundraising: from organising large and famous events like the annual Race2Paris and RAG Week, to small, regular fundraisers such as life drawing, flat crawls and bake sales. Meadows Marathon is our annual 5K, 10K, Relay, Half & Full Marathon that takes place in Edinburgh's iconic Meadows. The event has grown in size over the years allowing us to raise even more money for various charities. Furthermore, ESCA offers fundraising training and consultancy to all of the charitable societies associated with a university or college in Edinburgh, as well as individual members of the student body who wish to fundraise for any cause.
