ERYOU Barristers is the only law firm in Northwestern Ontario which restricts our legal practice to institutional risk, institutional liability and institutional insurance. We are consulted and retained primarily by municipalities, hospitals, child and family service organizations, business corporations and insurance companies. Our focus is litigation defence representation in insurance related matters. In addition, our lawyers regularly provide practical and proactive assistance to clients around potential institutional liability issues: risk management, operational procedures and best practices, coverage analysis, and information on insurance related matters. For over thirty years, David Eryou defended claims which were brought against Insurers for many institutional clients throughout Ontario and Manitoba. Since 1996, Stephen Wojciechowski has been acting in that same capacity, developing his practice under the solid tutelage of David Eryou, and over the past fifteen years, Eugene Prpic, Dawne Latta and Kathleen Kreps have joined the ERYOU team. ERYOU Barristers does not act for private individuals in claims against institutions. This select nature of our practice ensures that conflicts of interest are virtually impossible. The ERYOU Team continues to serve Insurers and their clients in ongoing issues and claims. We pride ourselves on operating at the cutting edge of developments in insurance risk and liability issues.
