Erciyes University Information

Erciyes University was founded under the name of Kayseri University in 1978. The foundation of Erciyes University was laid with Gevher Nesibe Faculty of Medicine established as an affiliate of Hacettepe University, in 1969. With the establishment of the University, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Theology, Faculty of Engineering and Science were come into service besides the available Faculty of Medicine. Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts in 1992, Yozgat Engineering and Architecture Faculty in 1995, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Yozgat Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty and Faculty of Science in 1995, Nevsehir Economics and Administrative Sciences, Dentistry and Faculty of Communication in 1997, Education Faculty in 2002, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Pharmacy in 2003 and Develi Seyrani Faculty of Agriculture in 2005 were added to the university. 2252 academic staff are already serving by 2014 - 2015 academic years at the university and about 50 thousand students are taking graduate and vocational education.
