Ercigoj Information

In 2013, the family company Ercigoj is celebrating its 90 years of embroidery. The company has been founded in 1923 under the name 'Naša Sloga' and for the past 90 years we have been raising the bar in embroidery quality. During this time we created over 2000 embroidered banners and countless other products. We perfected the classic embroidery technique of Chain Stitch, which the company adopted and nurtured since the very beginnings. We were one of the pioneers of machine embroidery in Slovenia, developing several computer-driven embroidery machines of our own. We developed a vast range of embroidery techniques which allow us to create outstanding images with the smallest details and sublime color transitions and shadings. With the development of embroidery techniques we ventured into the artistic world, creating an entirely new medium for painters and in collaboration with them creating amazing artworks, which are an incredible achievement in both the art world and embroidery. Recently we developed and perfected a special embroidery technology, eStitch, which makes it possible to transform photographs into images, made from color threads. This technology creates a unique photographic quality to embroidery, and as soon as we saw the potential, we contacted several well known photographers to produce a range of embroidered photos in large format. This 90th anniversary marks the year when we applied the eStitch technology to our traditional products, embroidered banners.
