Understanding and putting into practice quality training techniques for all riding styles is what we strive to do at Equilates. It is my firm belief that with training, all things are possible! Betsy began riding at the age of 14 when she became interested in three-day eventing. It was through eventing that she was introduced to the sport of dressage. A USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medallist, Betsy has represented the United States in major competitions around the world including the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm Sweden on Unanimous. Since then, Betsy has shown numerous horses at Grand Prix including Nectar and Metternich, as well as Hilltop's Giotto at the Intermediare Championships. Most recently, she shared a winning partnership with Rainier at the international Grand Prix level. In addition, Betsy has promoted the dressage sport through her active participation in organizations such as the U.S. Olympic Committee's Athlete's Advisory Council from 1992 - 1994 and as Chairman of The Active Competitor's Committee from 1992 - 1999. Betsy currently serves on the USET Dressage Committee. She has an active schedule of riding, coaching and conducting clinics throughout the country. An advocate for equestrian fitness, Betsy developed "Equilates", a sport specific equestrian workout designed for the rider.
