Equalista Information

Equalista is a new learning app to understand and act on gender equality. People build tech to solve their problems. Apps seem to exist for almost every situation in life or issue you come across. And that is what people do when they face a problem - innovate and come up with solutions. When you try to find an app on gender equality, however, you will be quite surprised that an issue so big and important is covered very sparsely in the app store. Even though a lot of theories and amazing literature on the topic exist, Equalista wants to make it even more accessible by putting it in an app form. We are up for the challenge and want to tackle gender inequality with tech. But how? Think language learning app but for the language of gender equality Think habit tracking app but for observing how you react in everyday life situations. Think coaching app but for equipping you to back your positions with facts and scientific research. At Equalista, we are a well prepped crowd that gets very excited to shine a light on gender equality from many different backgrounds: neuroscience, business, finance, design, gender studies and pedagogy - we are all throwing our knowledge, experience and enthusiasm in the mix to create a challenging but fun learning app we wish we had much earlier ourselves!
