Episode Information

Episode is a family-owned secondhand fashion company active in both retail and wholesale, dedicated to giving clothing a second life. We run 18 stores across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark and Norway, and supply graded secondhand textiles to wholesale partners around the world. It all started in 1985 with a market stall on Amsterdam's Waterlooplein, built on a sharp eye for what was worth keeping. Forty years later we're still family-owned and now led by the second generation. We believe the most sustainable garment is the one that already exists, and we've always preferred doing things ourselves to make that count. Every garment is sorted by hand, washed and graded in our own halls in the Netherlands, and pieces that need some love go to our atelier and return as Episode Remake. The goal is simple: keep good clothing in use for as long as possible. You won't find us on the high street. Our stores sit in side streets and characterful old buildings in Amsterdam, Oslo, Paris, Hamburg, Copenhagen and beyond, packed to the ceiling and never quite the same twice. From classic denim and workwear to statement pieces and designer finds, our rails mix eras and influences, with something for everyone who values authenticity and sustainability. We believe the best way to understand a business is from the inside out, so everyone who joins our office team first spends time in our stores, warehouse and sorting halls.
