The Epilepsy Association of Utah provides awareness, education, support services, and advocacy for and in behalf of all those dealing with the many challenges of epilepsy/seizure disorders. Epilepsy affects 50 Million people worldwide with more than 3 Million in the United States, some estimates put this number closer to the 7 Million mark. 1 out of 3 Americans know someone with Epilepsy, 1 out 10 will experience a seizure in their lifetime and 1 in 23 will be diagnosed with Epilepsy. Epilepsy is a Neurological Condition defined as a sudden, unexpected electrical disturbance in the brain. Epilepsy affects men and women equally and is found in every race and country on the Earth.
