The Exoskeleton and Prosthetic Intelligent Controls (EPIC) Lab at Georgia Tech, directed by Dr. Aaron Young, focuses on advancing the design and control of robotic prostheses and exoskeletons. Our team integrates the entire development pipeline—ranging from device fabrication and bench-top testing, to controller optimization, and ultimately evaluating impacts on human biomechanics and performance. A central theme of our research is leveraging machine learning to create intelligent assistive devices that can adapt their support and enhance usability across diverse real-world environments.
