The main activity of our group, part of the LASTRO-EPFL, involves the system design of optical fiber positioner robots which are key devices for future astrophysics instrumentation. Our group has a large spectrum of disciplines, spanning from astrophysics to mechatronics, from navigation techniques to command electronics as well as optics. Our research is based on strong interdisciplinary competences in astrophysics and robotics.
