Founded in early 2009, Envelop Entertainment is a transmedia production company and development studio dedicated to the evolution of screen based entertainment. Envelop marries the sophistication of traditional media with the immersive engagement of interactive platforms to create compelling entertainment experiences for audiences. In a world full of media convergence, entertainment products must evolve to survive. As can be seen across all media forms, it is not about replacing one channel for another, it is about appreciating the strengths of each individual platform and exploiting these capabilities for the benefit of the story (and the audience). The introduction of multiple platforms (both traditional and interactive) allows an audience to choose their level and mode of consumption, thereby delivering the richest experience without alienating any audience segment. As popularized by Henry Jenkins, it is this concept of transmedia storytelling that sits at the heart of Envelop approach. The Envelop model serves to harness the power of interactive entertainment, tempered with the maturity, sophistication and reach of traditional media formats such as television and feature film.
