At Jiminy's, we make sustainable pet food and treats using cricket protein. Jiminy's products nourish our pets and promote long-term stewardship of the earth. Our products are human grade; made with the best ingredients that are carefully chosen to enhance our pets’ health and happiness. Not satisfied with just being as good as other products on the market, our aim is to deliver superior nutrition AND sustainability.
Great Products – Jiminy’s is focused on products that combine the best nutrition with sustainability. Cricket protein is high in protein, has complete amino acids, and delivers other benefits such as high Omega Acids, Iron and Fiber.
Environmental Impact – Jiminy’s products are built around insect proteins, starting with Crickets. Insects are far more sustainable than traditional protein sources with better utilization of land & water, less feed required and less harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
AgriProtein is leading a new industry called nutrient upcycling.
Our mission is to close the loop in food production. We use our technology to leverage the natural capabilities of the black soldier fly; feeding its larvae existing organic waste to create a sustainable, natural protein for pets, livestock and fish.
Our industrial-scale bioconversion process takes organic waste streams from food factories, supermarkets, farms and restaurants, and recycles these into valuable products including: an insect based complete protein (MagMeal™), a versatile, natural oil (MagOil™) and a rich residual soil conditioner (MagSoil™).
AgriProtein has been developing its technology since 2008. In 2016, we opened the world’s first industrial scale insect facility in Cape Town, South Africa with the capacity to divert 100 tonnes of organic waste from landfill per day and produce over 2,000 tonnes of MagMeal™ per year.
AgriProtein is a subsidiary of the Insect Technology Group.
