Under the supervision of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and the oldest institute of engineering in France, ENSTA is a leading public institution of higher education and research, with EPSCP-GE status, and a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Since January 1, 2025, the institute has been the result of the merger of ENSTA Paris and ENSTA Bretagne. On its 2 campuses in Paris-Saclay (Palaiseau) and Brest, it brings together over 2,000 students, 200 teacher-researchers, 300 PhD students, 9 research laboratories and some thirty joint chairs and laboratories.
