Engram is building local cognitive AI infrastructure for identity-aligned, long-term reasoning. We develop personal cognitive systems that model how individuals think, decide, and prioritize—treating reasoning as a persistent system layer rather than a task-level feature. Our platform is built on a dual-process cognitive architecture that combines causal knowledge graphs, neural contextual bandits, and local-first personal models. This enables AI systems to prioritize cognition before expression, aligning decisions with human values, constraints, and long-term goals. Engram is designed around three core principles: data sovereignty, stability before autonomy, and reasoning as infrastructure. All cognitive modeling runs locally, ensuring privacy, security, and user ownership. We are building the foundation for the next generation of human–AI interaction, spanning personal computing, intelligent agents, and future AI-native hardware. Engram works with early design partners, researchers, and investors to develop scalable, defensible, alignment-first AI systems.
