England's Immigrants 1330-1550 has reached its first full year, and we have made excellent progress. The team have been incredibly busy collecting data, making preliminary analysis and presenting some of our initial findings. At The National Archives, great progress has been made through the alien subsidies, with only sixteen counties left to survey (Middlesex and Kent are currently in progress). Summaries of some of the counties we have covered so far can be found in our County Studies section. At the University of York, the calendared letters of denization and one Tudor denizen roll are on the database, with a further two large rolls of denizens in the mid-sixteenth century about to be tackled. While the large-scale data collection is continuing, many interesting cases of individuals are starting to emerge. As well as providing a general national picture of medieval immigration, we will also be able to reveal many individual immigrants' experiences of living in England. Some biographies are already available in our Individual Studies section. Great progress is also being made on our search facility by HRI Sheffield. The team is currently working with HRI on the fine details of the search facility, in order to make it as user-friendly and accessible as possible. The online search facility will be publicly available by the end of the project in 2015. The team are working hard to disseminate the project as widely as possible, with the help of our Impact Partners, such as the podcasts with the Historical Association. We are continuing to present the project to as many different audiences as possible, continuing from the numerous presentations we gave last year.
