EndNote X1 provides time-saving enhancements that are tailored to how researchers work today. A Quick Search function is included in the default Mac toolbar, and EndNote X1 uses the native Mac OS X spellchecker, providing a Dictionary Converter to easily convert custom dictionaries from earlier versions of EndNote. Users can now view all authors for a reference in the main list display, and organise up to 45 files-PDFs, graphics, PowerPoints and more-per reference using the "file attachment" field. Custom reference types can be exported and imported between computers easily, so users can transfer their personal settings between computers. EndNote X1 also includes new and updated files for searching online resources, importing references and formatting bibliographies - 1,500+ connections to online sources, 600+ import filters and over 2,800 publishing styles.
