The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) is Australia's only national institution focused exclusively on the diverse history, culture and heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Australia. As a world-renowned research, collecting and publishing organisation, we promote knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, traditions, languages and stories, past and present.
