Encompass Tutorial Services provides individualized executive functioning support to adolescents, young adults, adults, and parents, helping them build skills and, just as importantly, the self-understanding and confidence to use them. For more than fifteen years, Encompass has focused on understanding why capable people get stuck. Challenges with planning, organization, time management, task initiation, motivation, and follow-through are rarely solved by telling someone to “try harder” or handing them another planner. Effective support starts with understanding the person behind the challenge - how they think, work, learn, and experience the demands placed upon them. Our Executive Functioning Cognitive Training (EFCT) methodology combines executive functioning education, personalized strategy development, and a CBT-informed approach to help clients understand why they get stuck and reduce rigidity. In doing so, they develop practical strategies for planning, prioritizing, initiating tasks, managing time, sustaining motivation, building routines, self-advocating, and adapting when something isn’t working. Many of our clients are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD, autism, and twice-exceptional (2e) profiles, and/or experience anxiety, depression, motivation challenges, and other mental health concerns that can impact executive functioning and daily life. Because executive functioning doesn’t happen in isolation, we also provide education, consultation, and professional training for parents, schools, therapists, and mental health professionals. At the heart of Encompass is a core belief: our worth is not measured by our productivity. Executive functioning isn’t about doing more or getting everything “right.” It’s about understanding ourselves, recognizing without shame when something isn’t working, and developing the skills and confidence to adapt, rest when needed, and keep moving forward.
