Enbee Stores made the initial change from its general dealership to specialising in school uniforms in the mid 1950's, and continues to operate from the very same premises that was used by the founders of the family business. Major changes have been effected to the building, internally and externally, to provide a bright and spacious shopping environment. The store carries complete ranges of uniforms for most schools in and around Harare. In the early years, uniforms were sourced from various locally based manufacturers, all bearing the Enbee Logo/Tag. However, procuring these items became more difficult and added to this, supplies became erratic, incomplete size ranges were delivered and quality of the fabric was not always consistent. Enbee's reputation was at risk. It would have been a disservice to our customers to continue to operate in this uncertain manner. These problems forced the company to found and establish its own manufacturing base. Enbee Manufacturing was set up to ensure that the high quality and standards demanded by Enbee Stores management were met and maintained to protect and enhance the Enbee name. Only high quality fabrics with proven durability are sourced. Sufficient stocks are procured to maintain a regular and constant supply of high grade uniforms. A team of dedicated and skilled workers (tailors) managed by a qualified and experienced designer ensure the production of high quality garments. All products are inspected by a team of 'quality controllers' to guarantee flawless finished articles. Agents stocking Enbee uniforms throughout the country have been phased out and replaced by branches wholly owned by Enbee and staffed by trained personnel. This has cut out the middleman and makes for a more direct, cost effective and friendly relationship with our customers.
