We are a community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of social enterprise to transform lives and shape a better, more sustainable world. Enactus UCL is an entrepreneurial society where you have the opportunity to see business opportunity and take action. We set up social, consultancy, and commercial projects that bridge the gap for people in need, taking them from where they are, to a better, more sustainable livelihood. We utilize our advisory board of 20 individuals from sponsor companies such as EY, Gazprom, GSK, UCL Advances and many more, to give us support on guidance on our ventures. Enactus UCL gives students the opportunity to hone business skills, put them into action, make a difference to the world, improve employability, and have a great time whilst at university. Past successes include taking a community cafe from the brink of closure to break-even within 5 months, ensuring survival and securing jobs through our consultancy services. We have also worked two women from backgrounds of domestic violence to help them realise their dreams of financial independence by setting up their own mobile hair and beauty salon. Our current ventures include working with communities in West Africa tackling the issues to cleanliness and transportation of water and sanitation, as well as worklessness amongst the homeless community in central London.
