For example, in 2001, Empire began working with a local tech start-up that sprung out of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute business incubator. The following year, this semiconductor firm moved its headquarters to South Carolina. Diane and her team have provided outsourced accounting and CFO services to this firm for the past nine years. They have witnessed the growth of this firm from one employee to over 40 employees and what is now a multi-million dollar company.
