Empathy School Information

Empathy School is a learning community in Ubud, Bali, where children develop academic skills, emotional intelligence, and a close connection with nature. Our programs bring together literacy, mathematics, science, creative arts, and hands-on projects. Children learn through structured instruction, exploration, and collaboration, with educators adapting their support to different learning needs. Social-emotional learning is part of everyday life here. Children practise understanding their emotions, communicating their needs, resolving disagreements, and caring for others. Our educators receive ongoing professional development in teaching practice, social-emotional learning, and Nonviolent Communication. Our outdoor spaces, food forest, gardens, and creative activities give children opportunities to move, investigate, make things, and connect learning with the world around them. Plant-based meals and engagement with Balinese culture are part of our community life. We welcome Indonesian and international families, offering ongoing learning programs alongside shorter experiences through Nature Scholars and seasonal camps.
